Hola a todos!!! Happy thursday!!! Ok crazy news first, we had transfers on Friday and...I'm still here! My sixth transfer in Louisville! Didn't think that was possible, but I'm all for it:). What happened is they combined my first area hurstbourne with my current area Ola and it's me, Hermana Stokes, and Hermana Slade over the whole thing. Kinda wack, but it's so fun to teach my old friends again and I love both of these areas so much. Hermana Leebert abandoned me in La Grange cryyyy, but im so excited for her to bless lives out there, she is such a light to those around her and I know she's gonna love it. It was a little stressful at the beginning of the week because we were just a little at a loss with no instruction and this giant area to cover, but we're figuring it out as we go and even though it's been a lot to take on, I'm always reminding myself that we don't do it alone, we are always side by side with the Savior, laboring in His vineyar...

Gracia Sobre La Gracia

Hey yall!!! Feliz lunes!!! This week was literally sugar overload, not complaining at all. We've been focusing a ton on ministering to members and building relationships with them. A lot of the time it's easy to just ask and ask for help all the time, we focus so much on the friends we're teaching and how our members can help them that we forget to be there for the members too. I adore our little branch, they're like a second family out here and deserve all the support in the world aka cookies and heart attacking, just the missionary love language. But wow, I don't think I've made so many cookies in my life. I have the recipe DOWN fr. I also ended up eating like half the dough every time oops. It made my heart so happy to see how much it made their days to just do little acts of service like that. Never forget what one little kind word or action can do for a person. Everyone deserves to know they are loved. We were finally able to get nacho into the temple, we w...

Hey yall!!! Someone's gotta keep me more accountable for these emails, I'm on an every other week trend, and I know yall are just deprived of them:). But just an update on transfers...I'm in my first trio! Still in the Ola area and 5th branch yayyyy! I'm still serving with Hermana Leebert and our new comp is Hermana Fletcher who has been out for almost a year! She was reassigned here because she couldn't get her visa for Perú, but now she's headed to Chile right before the transfer ends! So we only get 5 weeks with her, so not fair because we love her!!! She's already taught me a lot and I know God put her in my life for these next 5 weeks for a reason. Our district is now completely different from the district I first started serving with, I've been in Louisville the longest which is so crazy holy cow. But I already love the new missionaries I get to serve with and I'm so so glad I get to stick around for a little while longer. Louisville's just...

Kentucky Kingdom

Hola a todos!!! I hope yall are doing amazing!!! It's been such a good weeeeeeek!!! I had my fall in love with Kentucky moment while driving to a members house yesterday, there was just this sunset, and rolling green hills, and horses, pretty much heaven. Shes got my heart for sure.  On Thursday we had zone conference, I was stressin a little bit (ok a lot lol) about playing piano for it, and then the day before the elders asked us to help out with their musical number too, they're just the best grrrr. But I played the piano for that while they played guitar and the hermanas sang there is sunshine in my soul today in spanish, we kinda killed it. The hymns and prelude went good too thankfully, God always helps me get through them. For like 4 weeks in a row the pianist for our rama hasn't been there so theyve been asking me to play. But I never know what I'm going to play and so every time i see hermano ramirez coming I wanna hide, but somehow I've survived sightreadi...

Amo A Mi Padre

Hey everyone!!! Feliz lunes! Last Monday was probably one of the happiest and most heartbreaking days of my mission. Not dramatic at all lol. Lindsay, my old comp, came to visit with her parents and I just love that girl! Her parents are also the best and Iloved getting to meet them. They all came to our fhe activity that night and a whole bunch of people from the branch showed up to say hi. We shoved cake in each other's faces just like old times and then it started pouring rain which felt soooo good! So we were covered in frosting and whipped cream and absolutely soaked and just so happy :). Me and lindsay just talked and sung songs at the top of our lungs, ahhh I miss her so much! Saying goodbye again was the absolute worst, I really hate goodbyes, probably cause Neil goodbyes take forever and make me so sad lol. On a happier note, we had a little miracle this week during exchanges! I did English work with Sister Saxton which was so fun, I hadn't really gotten to know her un...

TRANSFERS!

Hey everyone!!! Feliz lunes! Sorry it's been a minute, only 3 weeks lol, but I hope yall are doing amazing!!! We had TRANSFERS this past week!!! Definitely thought I was getting sent to Indiana or something, but I just got put in the other Hermana area in Louisville, same district and rama!!! My old comp Hermana Peine is training and staying in hurstbourne which is seriously the best cause we seem em all the time, and I love my new comp Hermana Leebert! She's been serving in Ola for a bit so we already knew each other! I honestly have the hardest time with change, so the first half of that week waiting to hear what was going to happen was absolutely terrifying. But I'm also learning how to trust more and more in God's will. I knew that whatever happened was exactly what I would need. A phrase I heard at the MTC was having God-confidence instead of self-confidence. It's easy to think you can do it alone, especially when you're stubborn like me, but the mission ha...

Hola a todos!!! Hope yall had a great week! The summer heat is starting to hit hard out here, but the rain makes up for it. Didn't think I would miss the Washington weather that much but here we are! Honestly I love Kentucky summers; thunderstorms every week, fireflies at night, and everything just so green, I love it. Here's my lil update from last week: new mission presidents!!! We had a mini zone conference to meet them and I already just love them! Sister McGinn gives the best hugs! You don't realize how deprived you are of mom hugs out here! President McGinn said he was a fly fisherman and immediate respect :). They both shared their testimonies and taught us what they learned from their training. The Spirit was really strong and you could tell they cared about each one of us so much.  Couple of thoughts from the zc: - "Joseph opened this dispensation on his knees." President Ballard - The Lord of the vineyard works alongside His servants, He is our fellow se...
