Kentucky Kingdom

Hola a todos!!!

I hope yall are doing amazing!!! It's been such a good weeeeeeek!!! I had my fall in love with Kentucky moment while driving to a members house yesterday, there was just this sunset, and rolling green hills, and horses, pretty much heaven. Shes got my heart for sure. 

On Thursday we had zone conference, I was stressin a little bit (ok a lot lol) about playing piano for it, and then the day before the elders asked us to help out with their musical number too, they're just the best grrrr. But I played the piano for that while they played guitar and the hermanas sang there is sunshine in my soul today in spanish, we kinda killed it. The hymns and prelude went good too thankfully, God always helps me get through them. For like 4 weeks in a row the pianist for our rama hasn't been there so theyve been asking me to play. But I never know what I'm going to play and so every time i see hermano ramirez coming I wanna hide, but somehow I've survived sightreading, I say a lotttttt of prayers. But ZC was just so good, I felt just drained after because the Spirit was so strong. President McGinn kinda wrecked everyone when he asked us to restart the BoM and finish by christmas. I have never read the whole thing by myself and I was almost done with Alma cryyyy...but it's ok, 1 Nephi.

We had a lot of friends yesterday at church, Abel came for the second time yayyy!!! And he stayed for our break the fast after, seriously my most favorite tradition ever. There's so. Much. Food. And it's all homemade latino goodness. We had Sunday School that week and I was sitting next to our member friend Magdiel trying to help him download the gospel library app. He looked it up and showed me the phone and I said yeah that's it and he downloads the shein app lol. I started laughing and swallowed my gum at the same time, not the best feeling lol.

Thennn guess what I did...shared my testimony in spanish in fast and testimony meeting for the first time!!! One of the elders told me to do it and I was like absolutely not and then Hna peine and two of the elders did it and I got that like heart pounding feeling from the Spirit so I was like here goes nothing and went up there. It was so cool! I shared about how before I gout out here I was praying to know if this was the right decision and me and my dad got to go to the temple for my last time together. We just sat in the celestial room for two hours and talked and the peace I felt was the answer I needed. I knew that what I could give would be enough for Him. That I was enough for Him. And that has made all the difference on my mission. I know that even when we feel like we dont have much to give, just like the story of the boy with five loaves and two fish, it will be multiplied and made enough by the Savior if we trust Him.

Also funny story, after our little break the fast where we stuffed ourselves we had a lesson with our friends Pablo and Michael and the other hermanas came with us. But the problem was Chef pablo made us a ton of food and we literally had to try to just put it down, I drank two whole water bottles to get it all down. We were dying laughing because pablo kept leaving and hna peine could not eat her food so she snuck over to the pot and dumped all her meat back. And then she tried to get rid of some of her rice too but she accidentally dumped it in the meat so she had to try to dig it out and then stir the rest in. I think pablo was just so confused cause he kept asking us if we wanted more food and we were just laughing.

Also we've been going to our members house every Sunday and having jam sessions on their guitars and grand piano. I LOVE their piano, it's just like my one back home so it's seriously the best. I'm learning the guitar right now and it's coming along, still working on the calluses, I'll be so proud when I get one. Their daughter is the cutest, she loves Ballet so I teach her dance moves and she puts on her little shoes to practice, my lil bestie, love her so much :)

Just got back from Kentucky Kingdom, we got permission to go from our mission president because a member invited us and it was sooooo fun!!! Got absolutely soaked on one of the rides lol, hna Kathy was like our mom for the day, she's the best love her.
